Params.ini is unwritable problem

I had this problem with my website (http://easywebmart.com/), a Joomla (J1.5.20) website using Ja-purity template, many of the forum posted procedures i tried were all in vain,  but if your Joomla template reporting a red sign: params.ini is unwritable, worry no more, atleast for now that you are reading this note.
I just found a solution that seems to be working good for me at least for now, and I am posting it here free of charge to access..I am posting it here because I failed to create an account at some website where I wanted to put an addition to the method used. I believe because I have to pay dollars to be a memebr and only members do post there.
This problem may be a problem of server settings as said at : http://www.rockettheme.com/forum
but after following the procedure therein this forum, I mean go through the procedure posted by Kat05 on Sunday Nov 14,2010 at 3.32am and for just in case it no longer exists at the time any one reads this, i have to paste it below:

there after going through this procedure, this param.ini continued to warn of being unwritable,
The solution is to continue to the your template folder with using ftp -->find params.ini file and use the right mouse click on it to get the file permissions, which are then manually set to  0755 for owner permissions, ok to this change and that is it.
Hope this note helps all those who have looked for params.ini solutions in vain as it worked for me.
